This Privacy Policy explains how Beyond The Legacy: Wisdom Unplugged LLC ("Halka", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects your information when you use the Halka app. Halka is intended for users aged 18 and older in India.
We collect your phone number, which we verify with a one-time password (OTP) and store securely to run your account. When you sign up, we generate an anonymous display name for you — this, not your phone number, is your identity on Halka. We also store the postcards and reactions you post, your notification preferences, and a device push-notification token to send you alerts. We don't collect your real name, email, photos, or location.
We use your information to run your account, publish your postcards to the Discover feed under your anonymous name, deliver reactions and notifications, and automatically screen postcards for safety before they go live. We do not sell your personal information, and Halka does not run advertising.
We share limited information with the service providers who help us run Halka — for OTP delivery, push notifications, analytics, and automated content moderation — only to operate the app, and never for their own marketing.
Your phone number is encrypted, and everyday account lookups use a one-way hash rather than the number itself. All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit.
You can delete your account anytime from Settings in the app — this permanently disconnects your phone number from your Halka activity. You can also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by emailing us below.
